hi,i would think the new doc will go with his own decisions about you its good you get 2nd opinion,he probably wants some background on your bloods but if he is any good he will listen to you and start from fresh, just keep remimding him and the team that you are feeling better with the new meds,i have had so many rhumy nurses that dont really hear what i am saying just cause the bloods are ok they think i have nothing going on,i get so annoyed when they ask me how i am and then dont listen, dorothy

Smile Good Luck with your new doctor.
Any questions/concerns/thoughts you have - write them down and take with you.
When I see rheumy consultant or rheumy nurse I let them lead the appointment so they cover their side of things then I give my concerns/experiences with ra.

See what the new person has to say - it is like forging a new relationship where you both get to know each other and go from there!
Try not to worry about things - I have two appointments coming up one with my knee surgeon (6 weeks post op) and with ra nurse - she is amazing by listening to my concerns with ra as a whole and specific areas ra is mis behaving. I said to her last year about my knee causing me concern, off I went to have knee xrays and a phone call sooner than she said with a referral to othopedic surgeon.

All the best to you
Jane

Graham, good luck with your forthcoming appointment. The consultant appointments are so important to our wellbeing so i'm not surprised that you are so concerned, especially not you've found a treatment that you feel happy on. Maybe you could take someone with you for moral support. Please let us know how it goes xxx
